Cost of Dental Implants

Cost of Dental Implants
A dental patient prefers dental implants to replace his or her missing teeth as they are better and
natural looking. No doubt, it appears to be a better proposition as compared to conventional dentures, but what you may ask is the cost involved? After all, any investments we make, the cost does matter, and our decisions are made whether we can afford a particular thing or not.
The cost of dental implant would consist of the material that is being used as well as the cost involved in the procedures of making it such as technician charges and finally the fee of the dentist who fixes it. As one is aware dentists do charge exorbitant fees. Whatever may be the cost, patients are going in for dental implants these days.

What is the cost of dental implant

Dental implant varies from about $2000 to about $4500 for the restoration of single tooth. In case, more procedures are involved such as bone grafting or sinus lift, then the price of the dental implant will go up. Most of the dental implant making companies almost offer the same price ranges for dental implants, so price variation is not all that much.

The cost of other types of implant are as follows:
  • Alpha Bio-Dental type of Implant from Israel that has a straight abutment - RS.25,000.00 per dental implant.
  • Nobel Guide type of (Computer Guided Implant Surgery) - Rs.60,000/- per implant.
  • Nobel Bio-care type of Dental implants.(from Sweden) - RS.40,000/- per implant.
  • Porcelain based metal crown - Rs. 5,000/- per piece.
What are the cost components
  • Imaging- X-rays and CT scans have to be taken which involves the charges of technicians.
  • Laboratory- The cost involved in the preparation of final tooth (crown), that is the shape as well as built of the to-be-fixed crown.
  • Expertise as well as labor costs- The dentist’s fees have to be paid and also the charges of the technicians.
  • Cost of abutment (Post).
  • There can also be multiple implants as well as crowns.
  • Physical health of the patient- The patient’s oral hygiene levels, jaw bone anatomy as well as age is taken into consideration as certain treatment may be prescribed. This would obviously increase the patient’s expenditure on the treatment.
  • Lava/Procera/3M(Veneers/Zirconia Crowns that are metal free.
These above mentioned factors do influence the cost of the dental implant.
It is kind of evident from the above facts, that dental implants do cost, but they are worth spending upon.

  5. For us any dental work is very expensive. We have 6 kids in our family. We recently got an Ameriplan Dental card. It was only 14/month for our whole family and the discounts were awesome! 60-80%!!! For us a cleaning was $130 without Ameriplan, with it the cost was only $15! We also saved on braces- ($7,000 down to $2,500). The 14/month also covers vision and chiro. Everyone should have it!
