I was just like one of the young people you describe in the beginning of this post- my smile was not clean or straight like everyone else's, and while appearances certainly are not everything, I did find that it affected my self-esteem as I got older. I started going to the best dentist in San Antonio- they addressed my need for braces, and even taught me about some oral surgeries I will need in the next few years, like wisdom tooth removal, and how they had been progressively crowding my teeth and making them uneven. I'm so relieved to have a smile I finally be proud of!
